Kelleigh Boland
Kelleigh Boland is a dedicated professional with skills in partnership development, strategic operations, and systems thinking acquired through experience with government, business, and community-based organizations.
In June 2020 amidst the pandemic, Kelleigh’s brother, Patrick Butler died by suicide. Kelleigh describes herself as a suicide loss survivor and her experience propelled her and her family forward to assist others in the immediate days following a suicide loss.
Kelleigh has spent over 25 years working in the nonprofit sector and holds both a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.
Working to accept the role of being a suicide loss survivor, Kelleigh strives to address the current gap in postvention services and harness the lived experience, love, and resilience of other suicide loss survivors.

Lori Butler
Lori Butler is a suicide loss survivor who lost her son Patrick in June 2020. This life-altering experience revealed a critical need for support, which inspired Lori to Co-Found Our Black Rose.
She is committed to offering those who lose a loved one to suicide a tangible reminder that they are not alone and that they are acknowledged and remembered.
As Lori continues this journey, her goal is to empower and support those navigating the complexities of grief, fostering a community that uplifts and cares for one another.

Judy Ryave McGuire
Judy Ryave McGuire is the Director of Aftercare and Community Outreach at Ralph Schugar Chapel, a funeral home in the Shadyside area of Pittsburgh. Along with her therapy dog Laney, Judy provides grief support services to the families they serve and has distributed the care packages to families in need.
As a suicide loss survivor having lost her brother to suicide in 2015, receiving a care package for her own personal suicide grief journey helped her to better understand the complex emotions surrounding suicide loss and reminded her that she was not alone.
Judy lives in the South Hills of Pittsburgh and lives with her husband, Brian and Goldendoodle, Laney, She is honored to be on the board of Our Black Rose.
